# TieTie PDF Editor - Privacy Policy

**Last Updated: July 12, 2026**

"TieTie PDF Editor" (hereinafter referred to as "the Extension") takes your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy is designed to explain how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Extension.

## 1. Core Data (Your PDF Files) Processing Policy

**100% Local Processing, Zero Cloud Uploads**
The core philosophy of this Extension is "Privacy First." When you use the Extension to open, view, edit, annotate, or export PDF files, **all processing, rendering, and modifications are done entirely within the memory of your local browser.**

We will **ABSOLUTELY NEVER** upload your PDF files, content data, inserted images, or signatures to our servers or any third-party servers. Your document data remains solely on your local device, completely secure.

## 2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

To continuously improve the user experience and fix potential bugs, we collect the following non-sensitive information within a highly limited and strictly controlled scope:

### 2.1 Anonymous Usage Data (Telemetry)
- **What we collect**: When you use the Extension, we collect basic operation events (e.g., successfully opening the Extension, uploading a PDF, exporting a PDF).
- **Anonymous Identifier**: We generate a completely random and anonymous UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) in your browser's local storage to serve as a device identifier. This UUID does not contain any of your personally identifiable information.
- **Purpose**: We only use these aggregated, macro-level statistics to understand usage trends, allowing us to optimize feature layouts (such as tracking the usage frequency of specific tools).

### 2.2 User-Submitted Feedback
- **What we collect**: When you click the "Feedback" button and actively submit a form, we collect the suggestions or problem descriptions you enter in the text box, along with the contact information (such as email) that you **voluntarily provide**.
- **Purpose**: This information is used exclusively to follow up on issues you encounter, provide technical support, or notify you of product updates. We will not share your feedback content or contact information with any third party without your explicit consent.

## 3. Data Security

The Extension uses encrypted protocols (such as HTTPS) to securely transmit the aforementioned anonymous data and feedback to our self-hosted backend, preventing data interception during transmission. We promise that the collected statistical data is restricted to internal review by the development team solely for product optimization and is protected by strict access controls.

## 4. Your Rights

- **Clear Cache**: If you wish to reset your anonymous UUID, you can clear the Extension's `localStorage` data at any time via your browser's Developer Tools (F12).
- **Revoke Feedback**: If you have submitted feedback and wish to have your contact information removed, you can contact us through our publicly available developer contact channels.

## 5. Changes to This Policy

If we need to collect other types of information during future feature upgrades (for example, introducing a cloud sync feature), we will update this Privacy Policy before the relevant features go live and provide you with a prominent notice and authorization request within the Extension.

## 6. Contact Us

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions regarding this Privacy Policy, please feel free to contact us via the "Feedback" feature within the Extension.
